New Film ‘Shade of the Heart’ Starring IU & Yeon Woo Jin Reveals Premiere Date
A new tandem is about to enter the silver screen. "Marriage Not Dating" actor Yeon Woo Jin and prominent artist IU will team up for a romantic and melodrama film, coming this March 31.
IU and Yeon Woo Jin to Work for the First Time in "Shades of the Heart"
On March 10, the production team of "Shades of the Heart" finally announced the premiere date of their newest film. According to them, it will be available in cinemas on March 31, after the release date, they also unveiled the trailer and main poster of the film "Shades of the Heart."
Kim Jong Kwan, the director of "Persona," "Josée," "Worst Woman," and "The Table," is also the brilliant and creative man behind "Shades of the Heart." It has also been revealed that IU and Yeon Woo Jin's movie was first released in Jeonju Cinema Project in celebration of the 20th Jeonju International Film Festival. And now, it is ready to be produced in a wider audience.

"Shades of the Heart" will depict the story of a novelist named Chang Seok (played by Yeon Woo Jin), who just returned to Seoul after being away from seven years. The story of Chang Seok meeting and breaking up with strangers in some of the familiar places such as cafes, museums, and bars is also expected to get the attention of the viewers as it will be a kind of scenario where most of the people can relate into.
Lee Ji Eun (IU) is expected to portray the character of Mi Young. Joining them in the cast are actress Kim Sang Ho, Lee Joo Young, and Yoon Hye Ri. They are also known to be part of Chang Seok lovelife.
This will be IU and Yeon Woo Jin's first project together and upon hearing the news that they are doing a movie together, fans were excited to see their chemistry on the silver screen.
IU also Gears up for New Films to be Released this 2021
Meanwhile, this is not just the only movie project for IU for this year Previously, it has been reported and later on confirmed that Lee Ji Eun was already filming a new film titled "Dream" alongside "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" actor Park Seo Joon.
In February, it was also confirmed that IU will join the cast lineup of Koreeda Hirokazu's film "Broker." The "Hotel del Luna" star is about to work with "Parasite" actor Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, and "The Silent Sea" actress Bae Doona.
