It has been revealed in "River Where the Moon Rises" Episode 16 that General Go Gun (Lee Ji Hoon) and Princess Pyeonggang (Kim So Hyun) are now each other's enemies.

On Dal Proved His Loyalty and Trust to King Pyeongwon and Princess Pyeonggang

To prove his loyalty, instead of Princess Pyeonggang, On Dal (Na In Woo) offered to be the one to lead the guards of the palace in heading to their next battle. Together with him are Sa Poong Gae (Kim Dong Young) and Tara Jin (Kim Hee Jung).

Without hesitation, On Dal bravely fought with all the civilian guards.

This revolt was spearheded by Go Won Pyo (Lee Hae Young) and Go Gun to warn the king. But they didn't expect that On Dal would step in, making their plans ruined and ending up having a real fight between the two tribes.

With his great determination to be the next king of Goguryeo, General Go Gun made a change of heart and followed his father's wishes. This time, he fears no one.

Princess Pyeonggang arrived where their first battle will happen. Even though they have their own soldiers by their sides, Go Gun and Pyeonggang confronted each other, and none of them is willing to withdraw from the fight.

In the middle of having a swordfight, On Dal and his guards arrived and rescued his wife. On Dal pulled an arrow to Go Gun that made him weak. Pyeonggang's husband will do everything to protect her. On Dal is ready to show his monstrous side in front of the enemies.

Go Gun and his soldiers retreated and immediately headed to Go Won Pyo who was put behind bars due to his failed duties in the palace. After knowing the state of his father, Go Gun becomes fearless and prepared for another fight with On Dal and the princess.

Meanwhile, "River Where the Moon Rises" had a slight decrease in its viewership ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 16 garnered an average rating of 6.0 and 7.8 percent. These are similar to their ratings last April 5, when Episode 15 was released, which recorded average ratings of 6.7 and 7.8 percent.
