Kim So-Hyun has literally grown up in front of her fans' eyes. She's just turning 22 in June, but it feels as if she has been around forever in people's screens and streaming devices. This is because she's been acting since 2006, which means her career started when she was merely 8.

She may have become much more known in 2012 when she played a villainous young girl in "Moon Embracing the Sun," but at the time, she can already be described as a veteran at acting and working. This means her net worth had grown steadily through the years, and now that she's of legal age, she's looking into a comfortable future indeed.

Kim So-Hyun Net Worth 2021

How much exactly is Kim So Hyun worth?

Born in Australia, she was destined to be not just a popular but a wealthy star. It's certainly a mean feat, considering the fact that she worked hard for everything she has today at a young age. Her projects were almost continuous since 2012.

Kim So-Hyun's net worth is estimated to be around USD $ 17 Million.

It appears that she has worked on every possible genre there is, but of course, the most notable ones, and probably the most lucrative ones, are her historical dramas. These dramas tend to have the most number of episodes, and if an actor is paid per episode, this means she made the most money off these projects.

Below are her three highest-paying shows, which were also incidentally, her most famous ones to date:

"River Where the Moon Rises" (2021)

This historical drama has a total of 20 episodes. This is also Kim So Hyun's most recent drama. Here, she took on the role of Pyeonggang, which garnered her some really massive praises.

Pyeonggang is raised as a fierce soldier and a composed princess at the same time. As a female in a male-dominated arena, she has big dreams and is very brave to chase after them. However, her careful and precise planning about everything in her life and in her battles is turned upside down when she meets On Dal (Na In Woo), who cheesily became her calm amongst the storm.

Kim So-Hyun portrayed someone facing a fierce battle to become an empress quite well. In every episode, she has to do a range of acting and emotions, as her character faces challenges that test both her strength and her brains.

Crazily, she actually has two roles in this show. Apart from Pyeonggang, she also took on the role of Queen Yeon, her mother! That's serious dedication and probably some serious compensation.

"Tale of Nokdu" (2019)

This one has a total of 32 episodes.

On this popular historical drama, still widely watched on Netflix, she plays Dong Dong Ju. She's a friendly, quirky warrior here. Although not the fierce one that she has to be in "River Where the Moon Rises," this does not mean her role here is easier. She still has to do so many things on just one episode alongside her partner Jang Dong Yoon, who's playing a young heir Jeon Nok Du.

The two went through so many antics one could wonder if the actress got exhausted with it all.

"Ruler - Master of the Mask" (2017)

"Ruler - Master of the Mask" has a massive number of episodes - at 40, to be exact.

Here, she played Han Ga Eun, the main love interest of the Crown Prince Lee Sun. Even though the story revolves around the prince, she is no less of an important character, and she had many, many scenes. She also played both the child and adult versions of the character, something she obviously can do well.

In an interview about the show, she shared that she portrayed the role of a love interest a lot through her eyes since she was quite young then. "There's a big melodramatic aspect to the drama, so the way we act with our eyes is important. I'm doing my best to show that I'm in love through the look in my eyes," she can be recalled to have said.
