Following her winning moment at the Oscars, Youn Yuh Jung continues to achieve recognition, alongside actors Song Joong Ki and Lee Dong Hwi.

It came after Korea Business Reputation Research Institute released a list of stars who made it to brand reputation rankings for the month of May.

The hierarchy was based on media coverage, consumer participation, media interaction, and community awareness gathered by the organization from April 30 to May 30.

Youn Yuh Jung Ranked as No. 1 in Brand Reputation Rankings for May

With this, the 73-year-old award-winning actress landed on the top spot with a brand reputation index of 12,497,492.

Youn Yuh Jung recently made it to the headlines after sweeping several prestigious awards for her impeccable performance in "Minari," where she played the role of grandma Soonja.  

With this, the South Korean veteran actress gave pride to the country after bagging the 2021 BAFTA Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and the Academy Award, all for the Best Supporting Actress category.

She surpassed some of Hollywood's brightest stars, including award-winning actress Glenn Close and Olivia Coleman.

Moreover, Youn Yuh Jung's Oscar award made her the first-ever Korean star to win an Academy Award.

On the other hand, Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute director Koo Chang-hwan revealed that based on the analysis, keywords that appeared for the actress were "Minari," "Oscar," and "Best Supporting Actress."

Song Joong Ki Ranked Second on May's Brand Reputation Rankings

Coming in second place is Song Joong Ki, garnering a brand reputation index of 8,257,973.

The South Korean heartthrob has been making noise after wrapping up his top-rating drama "Vincenzo" alongside lead stars Jeon Yeo Bin and Ok Taecyeon.

To recall, the romance crime series also reigned as the most buzzworthy drama for weeks, and Song Joong Ki topped the rankings of the most buzzworthy drama cast.

It appears that fans would see more of the 35-year-old actor this year as the A-lister is set to lead two dramas this 2021.

In a recent report, the "Descendants of the Sun" star is in talks to star in the upcoming drama "The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family" and is rumored to appear opposite Hallyu star, Bae Suzy.

Moreover, the South Korean star is slated to reprise his role as Eun Seom or Sa Ya in "Arthdal Chronicles: Season 2."

May's Brand Reputation Rankings top Three Goes to Lee Dong Hwi

Meanwhile, concluding the top three for brand reputation rankings for the month of May is Lee Dong Hwi.

The "Reply 1988" star received a brand reputation index of 6,019,774 and was followed by Gong Yoo, who recently starred in the top-grossing movie "Seobok" with Park Bo Gum.

He rounded out the top five with a total of 5,374,042 brand reputation indexes.
