Kim Sae Ron, Nam Da Reum Explore Mystic World in New Fantasy-Romance Drama

'The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim' Actress Kim Sae Ron
On April 27, 2021, it was reported that Kim Sae Ron was in talks to star in the series. Gold Medalist, the actress' agency, confirmed that she was reviewing the offer.
On May 6, Kim Sae Ron was confirmed to star with actor Nam Da Reum. On the same day, Kakao Entertainment announced that they were starting the production with plans to start filming in May and to premiere it in the second quarter of the year.
Actress Kim Sae Ron started her career at nine years old and appeared in numerous notable films and dramas "A Brand New Life," "The Man From Nowhere," "A Girl at My Door," "Hi! School-Love on," and "Secret Healer."
'The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim' Actor Nam Da Reum
Nam Da Reum also began his career as a child actor, portraying young versions of male lead characters in some popular dramas. He starred in "The King in Love," "Pinnochio," and "Radio Romance," in which he won awards for Best Young Actor.
He also appeared in "Boys Over Flowers," "While You Were Sleeping," "Hotel Del Luna," "Where Stars Land," and "Beautiful World."
"The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim" is considered as one of the most anticipated drama series for its unconventional drama genre and its fresh and young leads.
The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim Details and Pre-Production
The story depicts a fantasy mystery romance about two unique high school students who become involved in a series of mystic happenings.
Eighteen-year-old Ga Doo Shim, played by Kim Sae Ron, is born with the unwanted fate of becoming a shaman. She is brave and strong, someone who will fight supernatural evil spirits as she works on solving mysteries.

Na Woo Soo, played by Nam Da Reum, is Ga Doo Shim's (Kim Sae Ron) picture-perfect and wealthy classmate with a handsome face and outstanding grades. He suddenly gains the ability to see evil spirits and the two work together in solving mysterious happenings.
Yoo Seon Ho who appeared in web drama "Mischievous Detectives" also stars in the show as Hyun Soo.
"Hotel Del Luna" actress Baek Hae Sun and award-winning actor Moon Sung Keun from 'Vagabond' also add strength to the cast.
The drama was written by Joo Brothers and directed by Park Ho Jin. It is set to premiere on July 30, 2021 on IQiyi.

In the two new posters Kakao TV released, shaman Ga Doo Shim gives us a glimpse of her unconventional life as a high schooler.
Although she was dressed in her usual high school uniform, she is surrounded by tools used in shamanistic rituals. Unbothered while staying vigilant, she tells Na Woo Soo, "Welcome to my world."
On the other hand, Na Woo Soo looks stunned as he sits in the classroom together with his fellow classmates. He confirms that he can now see supernatural beings and evil spirits as he stared into the camera, "I've started seeing them too."

The producers of the drama praised the duo's acting, "Actors Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum are both fond of their respective roles. They perfectly match Ga Doo Shim and Na Woo Soo, and we were able to create character posters that really captured the unique and distinctive charms of the characters."
