UL Entertainment and JTBC Confirm Geum Sae Rok's Participation in 'The Empire of Law'
After portraying the role of a policewoman in "The Fiery Priest" and an activist in "Youth of May," Geum Sae Rok is ready to show another headstrong character in the upcoming JTBC drama "The Empire of Law."
Geum Sae Rok's agency UL Entertainment and JTBC confirmed she will join the lead cast of the series, alongside "Mouse" actor Ahn Jae Wook, while Kim Sun Ah and Lee Mi Sook are still in discussions.
What to Know about JTBC's 'The Empire of Law'
"The Empire of Law," previously known as "Castle in the Sky," will center its story around the scandals present in Korea's top court aristocrats who dream of hereditary work.
Ahn Jae Wook portrays Na Geun Woo, a law school professor and a caring husband, nominated for the presidential election but hides a dark secret about his personal life.
This will be his next project following "Mouse" and "Five Enough." The award-winning actor's return is already making online buzz as viewers are now looking forward to his new transformation.
Meanwhile, Geum Sae Rok takes the role of Hong Nan Hee.
More details about her character's identity will be revealed once the team finishes the casting lineup.
"The Empire of Law" is scheduled to premiere in 2022.

Geum Sae Rok's innocent image is very different from the strong characters that she had portrayed in her previous shows.
