The production company of the film "Sad Tropical" released an announcement confirming the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" actor's casting in the film.
Rumors and speculations spread that he was pulled out from the film after his involvement in a drama with his ex-girlfriend, however, his casting remains untouched.
SALT Entertainment, Kim Seon Ho's company, said, "After a thorough deliberation, the producers of "Sad Tropical" have decided to film the movie this year with actor Kim Seon Ho."

The drama was first announced in September and it will be looked over by the brilliant filmmaker Park Hoon Jung.

"Reply 1994" star Go Ara was cast to star in Park Hoon Jung's newest masterpiece "Sad Tropical" alongside "Good Boy" Kim Seon Ho.

According to JTBC, Go Ara already met the brilliant director in person, and decided to join the production team and cast ensemble with her huge trust in Park Hoon Jung.
Go Ara proved herself and her top notch acting skills through appearing in many popular dramas "Who Are You?," "Black," "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth," "Ms. Hammurabi" and Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol," to name a few.
She is expected to present a whole new side of her as an actress that was never seen before, which raises expectations.
Go Ara was last seen in the 2016 noir action film "Phantom Detective," amplifying anticipation for her comeback film.

On the other hand, Park Hoon Jung, "Sad Tropical" director, produced the box office thriller movie "The Witch: The Subversion" and the crime film "Night in Paradise."
