‘Vincenzo’ Actor Kwak Dong Yeon Reportedly Cast to Lead New Webtoon-Based Drama ‘Gauss Electronic Company’
Kwak Dong Yeon will potentially work in a new Korean drama, "Gauss Electronic Company."
On November 15, media insiders reported that Kwak Dong Yeon is in talks to star in the webtoon-based series "Gauss Electric Company," scheduled to air in 2022. Since he's doing other solo projects, his schedules are currently being coordinated according to the drama's production team.
Korean Drama 'Gauss Electronic Company' to Possibly Have Kwak Dong Yeon as Lead
Webtoon-based Korean drama "Gauss Electric Company" depicts the joys and sorrows of office workers against the backdrop of multinational company, Gauss Electronics.
Kwak Dong Yeon has been offered to star as Lee Sang Sik, an employee at the marketing department of Gauss Electronics. He is a simple and sincere kind of guy but lacks understanding sometimes.
Lee Sang Sik is a character who is too ideal and suddenly became a headache for the department. As the story progresses, it is expected to reveal his comical charm as he plays the main character of the story.
"The God of Music 2" producer Park Joon Soo will direct the series and Fan Entertainment, which created KBS 2TV's "When the Camellia Blooms" and SBS' "Racket Boys" will produce "Gauss Electronic Company.
In addition, the production is currently working on casting main and supporting actors, and it has been reported that the series will air on MBC.
Kwak Dong Yeon Booked and Busy for 2022
Following the success of "Vincenzo," where he starred alongside Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, and Ok Taecyeon, new doors opened for Kwak Dong Yeon.

He recently concluded filming his forthcoming comedy movie "6/45" together with Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Yi Kyung, Eum Moon Suk, and more. It tells the story of North and South Korean soldiers competing for a winning lotto ticket that crossed division line because of the strong wind.
Aside from the film, Kwak Dong Yeon is also confirmed to join Lee Jong Suk and SNSD's Yoona in tvN's "Big Mouse" (also known as "Big Mouth") and TVING's "Strange," both of which are currently being filmed and set to release in 2022.
Since Kwak Dong Yeon debuted in 2012 with KBS 2TV's weekend drama "My Husband Got a Family," he has already shown a variety of characters from villain to comic through more than 20 dramas.
In May of this year, he was lauded for his outstanding performance in the megahit Kdrama "Vincenzo."
