SBS TV's "Our Beloved Summer" is a romantic comedy drama that follows the story of ex-couple Woong (Choi Woo Sik) and Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi) who meet once again to film the sequel to their high school documentary.
As they were forced to be together in front of the camera once more, their dormant feelings resurface.
In the drama, Park Jin Joo plays the role of Lee Sol Yi, Yeon Soo's only friend and a former romance drama writer who now owns a pub. She is Yeon Soo's voice of reason and number one confidant when the lead character has personal struggles.

For Park Jin Joo, "Our Beloved Summer" is a work that brought happiness into her life. Apart from that, she enjoyed being surrounded by actors who are the same age as her.
"In my previous projects, there were a lot of senior actors. This time, I was the oldest," she shared, "So I needed to do a good job in being the rock on set."
However, everyone led each other for the better, according to the actress. Because of this, she had so much fun while filming the drama.

"It was difficult to differentiate whether I was still acting or it was real life," Park Jin Joo stated after talking about being relaxed on the drama's filming set.

When asked about the most memorable character in "Our Beloved Summer," Park Jin Joo chose Kim Sung Cheol, who played the role producing director Kim Ji Woong.
"During filming, Kim Sung Cheol plays the role of the mood maker," the actress said with a laugh, "He jokes a lot but he's also very considerate."
Kim Sung Cheol would encourage everyone by cheering them on and giving them strength with his cheer "Fighting!," which is both funny and adorable at the same time.

In contrast to Yeon Soo's pragmatic life and stiff personality, Sol Yi possesses a refreshing and adorable aura.
Park Jin Joo and Kim Da Mi play each other's best friend in the drama. The actress revealed that she had been worried about becoming close with Kim Da Mi.

She shared honestly, "Da Mi and I are both quiet and shy. I thought it was important to get close quickly to be comfortable around one another, so I was worried at the time of our first filming together."

To the actress' surprise, she became worried for nothing. She explained, "As soon as we started delivering our lines together, our chemistry was oozing!"

"It made me really happy," Park Jin Soo said. In particular, the actress also gave a lot of praise to Kim Da Mi, describing her as a "sponge" who is able to absorb and flexibly adapt to any role or lines given to her.
