Lee Byung Hun is diagnosed with COVID-19. 

The renowned actor is the latest Kdrama star who contracted the virus.

His agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed the news noting that the actor tested positive from COVID-19 and is currently in self-quarantine. 

Moreover, Lee Byung Hun's agency shared that the "Mr. Sunshine" star had completed his vaccine and is done with a booster shot. 

Due to his condition, the actor's upcoming Kdrama "Our Blues" had to postpone its production for the safety of the cast and crew. 

It was confirmed by a representative from tvN explaining that the shooting session "were immediately halted" after they got confirmation that Lee Byung Hun tested positive from the virus. 

Luckily, everyone from the cast and staff tested negative from COVID-19. 

In October 2021, the broadcast network announced the star-studded cast lineup for the upcoming omnibus-style Kdrama. 

Aside from the award-winning actor, "Our Blues" cast includes Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Uhm Jung Hwa, Cha Seung Won, "Parasite" star Lee Jung Eun and more. 

The forthcoming series is penned by "That Winter, The Wind Blows" and "It's Okay, That's Love" writer Noh Hee Kyung and directed by Kim Kyu Tae. 

Over Lee Byung Hun's Instagram, he recently shared an update regarding the production. 

On February 5, the "Iris" star posted a photo of a yellow food truck with his posters on it.

"Thank you, LUVUS. I wish everyone good health in the new year!" the caption reads. 

In November 2021, the actor had to undergo a PCR test after he came across fellow celebrity Jung Woo Sung during a shoot. 

At the time, the actor-producer and Lee Byung Hun had a commercial shoot, making him one of the close contacts, but luckily, he tested negative. 

Apart from the 51-year-old actor, Park So Dam also tested positive from the virus. 

Her agency, Artist Company, revealed that she contracted COVID-19 while on regular treatments for her papillary thyroid cancer.

Fortunately, "she is now out of quarantine and there are no issues with her health," as shared by Park So Dam's agency.

"Our Blues" is his following project after landing a significant role in Netflix's "Squid Game."

To recall, he took on the role of the Front Man , who is also Hwang Jun Ho's (Wi ha Joon's) older brother who went missing after joining the survival game.

2022 might be a busy year for Lee Byung Hyun as he is set to appear in another Kdrama aside from "Our Blues."

The award-winning actor is set to headline the cast of "Here" alongside Han Ji Min, Shin Mi Ah, Nam Joo Hyuk and Bae Sung Woo. 

Not only that, he is set to lead the cast of three upcoming movies. 

First is the thriller sci-fi movie "Concrete Utopia" with Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young. It is followed by the sports-themed film "The Match" and "I Believe In a Thing Called Love."
