Koreaboo reports said that in recent weeks, offensive graffiti directed at BoA appeared repeatedly at bus stops and billboards near Gangnam Station, Sinnonhyeon Station, and Yeoksam-daero. Photos of the graffiti quickly spread on social media and online communities, alarming both fans and the public. Similar incidents were reported in other districts such as Gwangjin-gu and Gangdong-gu.

Concerned for the singer's well-being, some fans posted videos showing themselves removing the graffiti, expressing their sorrow over the hateful messages. The attacks come at a sensitive time for BoA, who has been vocal about her struggles with emotional pain from malicious comments and controversies over the years.

Earlier this year, BoA faced backlash after mentioning comedian Park Na Rae during a live broadcast with Jun Hyun Moo, prompting her to issue an immediate apology. In a candid message to fans, BoA revealed she had endured difficult personal and professional challenges in recent years. "The world changes, and I change too," she wrote. "I repeatedly questioned whether this place is truly where I belong."

BoA also made headlines when she posted on social media about possibly retiring after her contract ended—a message she later clarified was a typo but noted the contract period with some hesitation.

After ending her 25-year relationship with SM Entertainment, BoA announced the launch of her own one-person agency, signaling a fresh start. On May 23, she shared a video flaunting a new short blonde hairstyle and a vibrant, confident look.

Nevertheless, despite this ideal image, there have been some critics from among the internet users who felt she had changed her looks or that long hair was more appropriate for her.

On the other hand, OSEN said that many fans took their stand by posting comments praising BoA, calling her a "Goddess BoA" or "BoA is so cute" or even advising, "Please don't mind all the comments, unnie."

In light of the fact that BoA has now started the stage of independence in her career, the need for kindness and encouragement seems to be increasing by the day.
