Jang Ki Yong First Musical Debut With ‘Blue Helmet: A Song of Meissa’
K-Drama hottie Jang Ki Yong to continue his acting inside the military as he is confirmed to make his first musical with "Blue Helmet: A Song of Meissa."

Newsis announced on February 17 that Jang Ki Yong will debut as a musical actor in the play "Blue Helmet: A Song of Meissa" and is expected to work with EXO member Chanyeol.

According to the performance production company How Farms, the upcoming musical will start on March 18 at Daesung D Cube Art Center in Guro-gu, Seoul.
"Blue Helmet: A Song of Meissa" is set in two countries with a completely different culture: Kamur, a virtual country that has been in civil war for a long time, and Korea, where K-Pop auditions are held.
The story will focus on Laman, born and raised in Kamur, and his journey of coming to Korea in search of Meissa of the UN peacekeeping forces who gave him dreams and hopes.

Jang Ki Yong takes the role of Yeon Jun Seok, a character who grows as a result of a sequence of events in Kamur by applying for military dispatch together at the recommendation of his comrade Yun Seon Ho.

The "Now, We Are Breaking Up" star will share the stage with EXO Chanyeol who will play the role of Laman.
In addition, Kim Hyo Jin is Yoon Seon Ho, who applied for dispatch with the dream of world peace and helping people while working for the UN. Lee Seung Jun and Lee In Pyo will play the role of Lee Jeong Hyuk, a non-commissioned officer of the public support system.

Hyojin and Seungjin are members of the group ONF and recently all members except for foreign member Yoo entered the military. They are also expected to participate in the stage play.
The production team plans to present a new direction for creative musicals by adding various genres of music such as pop and classical music and Kpop along with a composition that constantly intersects Kamur and Korea's past and present.
Musical runs starting on March 18 and ends on May 8, 2022. The first ticket sale for the musical will be open on February 18.
Jang Ki Yong who had notable performances with his previous dramas will show his skills in doing musical play for the first time in his career. People are already looking forward to his stage play appearance this year.
Before he enlist in the military on August 23, 2021, the K-drama actor finished his series "Now, We Are Breaking Up" where he worked for the first time with A-list actor Song Hye Kyo.
