Netflix's "D.P.," which stars Jung Hae In and Goo Kyo Hwan, joined the list of 2021 K-dramas that received massive hype from viewers. The action-comedy series entered Netflix's top 10 tv shows in Thailand and Vietnam while it landed number one in South Korea.

"D.P.," which stands for "Deserter Pursuit," is based on the webtoon of the same name that follows the story of a special military squad who are on the hunt for fugitives who ditched their posts and ran away from the military.

Some critics say that the six-part series is somehow a story close to reality as it sheds light regarding the brutal abuse and violence in Korea's military division. Despite the controversy, Netflix announced on its official Twitter account that the action-comedy series had been renewed.

Per Sports Chosun, "D.P." season 2, director Han Joon Hee and author Kim Bo Tong will once again collaborate for the much-awaited sequel.

There's no denying that Jung Hae In's role in "D.P" showed a different side of him as an actor; however, he proved his versatility after displaying unique chemistry with BLACKPINK Jisoo in "Snowdrop."
