Coupang Play's thriller drama follows the story of a woman suffering from a psychological disorder known as Reply's syndrome.
In the drama, Lee Yoo Mi, played by Bae Suzy, is caught up in her web of lies as she tries to live a different personality. She alter ego is Anna, a sophisticated woman who exudes undeniable beauty and charm.
Bae Suzy Reveals Being Hesitant to Play Lee Yoo Mi and Anna
As obtained by News 1 Korea, the singer-actress admitted that she was worried that she wouldn't be able to portray the role perfectly because of her look.
In "Anna," Lee Yoo Mi is in her late 30s, while Bae Suzy is currently 27.
During the interview, she dishes out her doubt and how she thought that she wouldn't be able to give justice to the role because she looked younger than Lee Yoo Mi's age.
Despite this, she managed to pull off playing not just Lee Yoo Mi but also her alter ego Anna.

With this, the actress shared that she focused on the transition period of playing one to the other.
For Bae Suzy, instead of being worried about the age difference between her and the character, she wanted to highlight how Yoo Mi changed and the lies Anna orchestrated.
Bae Suzy Wants to Show a Different Side of Her Through Anna
In a separate report, the actress revealed why she accepted to join the cast of "Anna."
As cited by Sports Chosun, Bae Suzy wanted to show her versatility as an actress.
"I wanted to show a different side of my acting from what I've done so far," she said.
Since the character plays a dual role, the actress admitted that she feels pressure since both characters differ. Her responsibility as an actress is to showcase Lee Yoo Mi and Anna's contrasting personalities.
Throughout her career as an actress, viewers saw how Bae Suzy shined from being a supporting cast to headlining various Kdramas and movies.
However, "Anna" will be her first series where she has to play two characters with different personalities.
In addition, the upcoming Coupang Play series is her comeback to the small screen after starring in the smash hit Kdrama "Start-Up" with Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Seon Ho.
