RAIN, Kim Tae Hee Reportedly Selling Their Building in Gangnam Following Cheating Rumors

After facing a scandalous controversy, RAIN and Kim Tae Hee are reportedly putting up their Gangnam building on sale.

The power couple is known not just by their status in the entertainment industry but also as real estate moguls who own various properties in and out of the city.

According to a media outlet, the actor is planning to sell the Samyoung Building in Seocho-dong, Seoul, which he bought in 2021.

At the time, the singer-actor purchased the building for 620 million won per 3.3 square meters, amounting to 92 billion won or 64,355,690 USD in total. However, he only holds 6/10 of the stake, while the rest is under a limited company headed by RAIN's wife, Kim Tae Hee.

Interestingly, the said building has 10 floors and commercial space for establishments like dermatology and dentistry clinics, cafes, and more with rent reportedly costing about 200 million won or 139,769 USD.

From the spacious building, the property is also located in a prime area and within the vicinity of Gangnam Station.

With news stating that the "Ghost Doctor" star will be selling his Gangnam property, RAIN wanted the sale price to be 140 billion won and if the transaction has been successfully made, it leaves the singer gaining a profit of close to 50 billion won.

However, in the same report, the reason for selling the building after only a year since purchase is due to the aftermath of a surge in market interest rates.

RAIN and Kim Tae Hee's Property for Sale 'Not True' According to Official

Following the news about RAIN and Kim Tae Hee's property, an official shut down these claims noting that there's no truth about the couple selling their Gangnam building.

In a report cited by Osen, both RAIN and Kim Tae Hee "have never put it up for sale."

In addition, the official was clueless as to "why this part was published without confirmation."

The news regarding the property came weeks after the singer-actor got embroiled in a controversy.

RAIN was accused of cheating his wife Kim Tae Hee with a professional golfer. A magazine described the celebrity as a family man married to a lovely wife, with the public raising speculation that it was the actor.

Apart from RAIN, "Hospital Playlist" star Jo Jung Suk is also rumored to be dating a golfer. He is married to singer Gummy and a father to an adorable daughter.

At the height of the issue, RAIN and Jo Jung Suk's agency shut down rumors. In addition, the celebrities released a warning that they would take legal action.
