935 Entertainment, Lee Ji Han's agency, confirmed on October 30 that the Korean star had passed away due to the stampede that happened in Itaewon. It was then revealed to the public that Ji Han has an upcoming series "Kkokdu's Gye Jeol," also known as "The Season of Kkokdu," where Im Soo Hyang and Kim Jung Hyun are also starring.
After knowing the unfortunate event, the production of the drama was put on hold.

It was reported that the former "Produce 101 Season 2" contestant had taken on the character of Jung Yi Deun, the ex-lover of Im Soo Hyang's role Han Gye Jeol.

Following the news, on November 1, Im Soo Hyang posted on Instagram and expressed her feelings toward the late actor. In the short yet heartfelt letter, the actress wrote:

"Ji Han, you have to be happy in a better place.
Yesterday, I was supposed to film the whole day with you, but after hearing the news, we (the drama's production members) gathered at your wake. No one could say anything for a long time, and we just sat quietly. I felt cold, sad, and miserable after you were taken away so soon as you were just starting because I knew so well how hard you worked and how you wanted to do a good job in your craft."
The actress continued:
"Your parents held my hands and told me how you went home and happily bragged to them that I praised you for doing a good job, and I think I cried for a long while because I was sorry that I didn't take care of you more. It was a shame that I didn't say one more, nice word of encouragement to you.
I am in pain to let my colleague go first. The team and I will all work even harder for your share while thinking of you so that you can be proud of that place, and I hope you will be at peace now."

Lee Ji Han, who was first introduced to the public in the Korean reality-talent show "Produce 101," is about to make his small-screen debut in the upcoming drama "Kkokdu's Gye Jeol" with Im Soo Hyang.
The drama's production is yet to announce when they will resume filming for "Kkokdu's Gye Jeol." Furthermore, the series is tentatively scheduled to premiere sometime in 2023.
