Jo Jung Suk To Play Royal King in New Historical Drama
Multi-awarded actor Jo Jung Suk might once again dominate the small screen with the forthcoming drama "Spy" this 2023!
On December 24, JAM Entertainment, Jo Jung Suk's agency, announced that the actor received a great offer to headline the new melodramatic historical drama "Spy."
Recently, Historical Drama Queen Shin Se Kyung was reported to have been offered the female lead role. The two stars are currently positively reviewing the work.
"Spy" depicts the painstaking romance of a king and a spy who tries to seduce him for revenge. If Jo Jung Suk accepts the offer, he will take on the role of Lee In, the king who experiences political power struggle during his reign.

Opposite Shin Se Kyung who's offered to play the role of Gang Hee Soo, a spy who avenges herself from the royal family.
Once they accept their respective roles, "Spy" would mark Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung's first project together as an onscreen couple.
In particular, the upcoming drama also draws keen attention as this could be Jo Jung Suk's comeback drama after a year and a half since "Hospital Playlist Season 2."
Jo Jung Suk & Shin Se Kyung Forthcoming Works
Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung's acting careers have flourished over the years, jumping from one project to another.
This 2023, Jo Jung Suk will come back to the silver screen with the upcoming films "Nation of Happiness" and "Pilot," which are both expected to air in the first half of 2023.
Further details are yet to be announced so stay tuned for more updates. As for Shin Se Kyung, the actress was recently cast in the second season of "Arthdal Chronicles," which aroused discussion and mixed reactions from avid viewers.
In the historical fantasy series, Shin Se Kyung takes on the role of Tanya, which was played perfectly by Kim Ji Won in the first installment. Filming began in August 2022 with the intentions to release Season 2 in the early part of 2023.
