Song Hye Kyo allegedly prevented Netflix from posting her photos online during the press conference of her upcoming drama "The Glory."

With this, fans debate about the actress' "unprofessionalism," which creates buzz in the Hallyu scene even before her much anticipated return.

Song Hye Kyo Criticized For Unprofessionalism

Many photos of the on-site press conference of the new Netflix series "The Glory" were reposted, proving the popularity of the yet to come project.

"The Glory" is Netflix's newest revenge project starring Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun and Lim Ji Yeon. It tells the story of a woman who avenges herself from her bullies by becoming their children's homeroom teacher.

On December 20, the cast of "The Glory" including Song Hye Kyo attended the online press conference at JW Marriott in Jongno, Seoul, and talked about what to look forward to in the series.

While the fans expressed their excitement after seeing the photos of the production team, prospective viewers' curiosity intensified when Netflix Korea deleted the photos of the actors.

Not only that but the video in which the cast of the drama shared their Christmas holiday plans was also deleted, raising speculations that Song Hye Kyo requested to delete it after appearing "much older than her actual age."

Fans criticized the actress for being so "unprofessional" and "scared of looking bad and old and aging." To clear out the air, Netflix released a statement regarding the buzzworthy debate online.

"The promotional video and posters of "The Glory" were deleted after confirming that the final versions weren't the ones posted," Netflix Korea reasoned. "We are still in the process of editing so we took it down."

Netflix Korea also verified that Song Hye Kyo didn't request anything, and that it was all fake news.

Through Netflix's "The Glory," Song Hye Kyo will take on her first ever anti-heroine role yet!

In the series, Song Hye Kyo transforms into a protagonist who also becomes the biggest antagonist in her life.

According to the actress, Moon Dong Eun, her character, is a person in need of loving and understanding. She said, "She has a scarred heart as she has been through a lot."

Song Hye Kyo reveals that she exerted her best to portray her new acting role. When asked how she wants to be perceived through the new work, she said, "I want my performance to look fierce and vengeful rather than looking pitiful."

The writer of the series, Kim Eun Sook, gives Song Hye Kyo her much deserved praises as she aces every scene she has. Her flawless performance and detailed body language truly embody Moon Dong Eun.

Even more so, Part 1 of "The Glory" will air on December 30 on Netflix while Part 2 sequentially hit the screen in March 2023!
