News1 stated on March 28 that Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won received offers to star in the upcoming romance drama "Polaris" (working title). In response to the big news, the actress' agency IEUM HASHTAG said that Jun Ji Hyun was offered a role in the series and is positively reviewing it.
Similar to her, a representative from Kang Dong Won's side said that "Polaris" is one of the many projects that has been offered to him.

Giving excitement to the viewers, "Polaris" is a spy romance series that features the stories of spies who work to find their true selves.
Screenwriter Jung Seo Kyung will pen the script and Kim Hee Won, who is the creative mind behind "Vincenzo" and "Little Women," is expected to helm the work.
Once the casting is complete, the forthcoming drama will begin filming in earnest.

If Jun Ji Hyun accepts the offer, it marks her return to the small screen following "Jirisan" in 2021. The actress is known for her hit dramas "My Love From the Star," "The Legend of the Blue Sea," "Jirisan," and more.
In February, she went to Europe to attend the Paris Fashion Week.

Veteran actor Kang Dong Won will finally break his long hiatus in the drama world if he decides to star in "Polaris." For the record, Kang Dong Won's last series was in 2004 with "Magic." This is potentially his fourth drama after almost two decades.
The top star is also preparing for his big screen return through the movie "Possession." It follows the story of Dr. Cheon (Kang Dong Won), who runs a YouTube exorcism channel with In Bae (Lee Dong Hwi). He believes that he is dealing and communicating with people's minds rather than ghosts, and he performs fake exorcisms on people.
"Possession" is under CJ Entertainment and is scheduled to meet the audience in the second half of 2023.
In 2022, he rose again to stardom after he made an appearance in the box office hit film "Broker," where he worked for the first time with IU, Song Kang Ho, Bae Doona, and Lee Joo Young.
