‘Physical: 100’ Cast Admits Sexual Assault Charges + Is He the Former Rugby Player Jang Seong Min?
A "Physical: 100" cast made headlines after the Seoul Central District Court released an update regarding the physical assault allegation involving the athlete and his then-girlfriend.
Following the popularity of the Netflix survival reality show, some of the participants received negative criticism after their behavior was exposed. It includes male participants who were accused of physically assaulting his partner.
'Physical: 100' Cast Admits to Assault Charges
In a report cited by a Korean media outlet, the said reality star attended the first trial at the 31st Criminal Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court. He was charged for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.
The "Physical: 100" cast member, who is a former national rugby player, admitted most of the charges during the trial.
As mentioned by the news portal, his legal representative shared that "Mr. A," referred to as the reality star, "is deeply reflecting" over his action after acknowledging his offense.
Moreover, the legal counsel also shared that Mr. A personally apologized to the victim.
However, during the trial, the "Physical: 100" contestant denied some allegations against him, which included damage to propery and threats.
To recall, an unmanned participant in the Netflix reality survival show is said to have undergone an investigation due to accusations over physcial abuse to his then partner.
According to a report, in March 2022, authorities received a complaint from a woman saying that she had been beaten by her boyfriend.
At the time, the contestant, whose identity has not been disclosed, underwent an investigation for assault and battery.

Shortly after the news broke, Netflix released a statement addressing the report regarding one of the show's participants.
"Netflix and the production team are still grasping the situation after seeing news reports that one of the cast members of 'Physical 100' is involved in a wrongful incident," the statement reads, as obtained by the same outlet.
Moreover, the streaming giant said that they would "look into the details of the incident."
Is the Controversial 'Physical: 100' Contestant Jang Seong Min?
While the authorities kept the identity of the said contestant, they gave hints and revealed that Mr. A was a former rugby player.
Due ot this, netizens speculate that the controversial reality star is none other than Jang Seong Min, a rugby player who is part of the South Korean national teamand competed at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
He described himself as "Monster Physique" and the "Rugby World's Don Lee."
During his stint in "Physical: 100," he is one of the 10 team captains chosen who will advance to the second round.
Moreover, he also beat the "goddess on the sand" and ssireum player Jang Min Ji.
Following the public's speculation, Jang Seong Min has deactivated his social media accounts.
