SBS Drops New Still Cuts of Kim Tae Ri in 'Revenant'

The actress never fails to amaze viewers with her versatility as she takes on a challenging role in the upcoming occult-mystery thriller, "Revenant."

Ahead of the highly-anticipated series, SBS continues to entice viewers with new and intriguing teasers of Kim Tae Ri's return to the small screen.

In the latest stills, "Revenant" illustrates the two sides of Ku San Young, played by the actress.

She works part-time by day and is a civil service student by night. Juggling two things at once, she tries to overcome and not get swamped by the challenges.

However, she gets caught up in a twisted faith after Ku San Young is possessed by an evil spirit after receiving an object from her late father.

As seen in the "Revenant" teaser, it depicts the two faces of Ku San Young. One exudes an evil character, while the other looks terrified.

Over in the comment section, fans can't wait to see Kim Tae Ri in a different light. The same goes for viewers who missed seeing the actress on the small screen.

To recall, "Revenant" is her follow-up project after the hit series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" in 2022.

'Revenant' Release Date, Cast

Joining Kim Tae Ri as "Revenant's" lead star is award-winning actor Oh Jung Se. He plays folklore professor Yeom Hae Sang, who has the ability to see gods and mysterious creatures.

However, because of his strange talent, he is having a hard time getting along with other people. This is why he puts his focus on his extensive research in folklore.

Adding to the list of cast members is "Weak Hero Class" star Hong Kyung. He will transform into an elite police detective named Lee Hong Sae.

Meanwhile, Kim Won Hae, who appeared in "Behind Every Star," plays Hong Sae's police partner, Seo Mun Chun.

With a roster of talented stars, "Revenant" is set to deliver a surprising episode as it airs every Friday and Saturday starting June 23, via SBS.

Kim Tae Ri Shares How She Pulls Off the Challenging Character in 'Revenant'

Through a media outlet, Kim Tae Ri talked about her portrayal of Ku San Young, who was consumed by an evil spirit.

The actress said that she centers her attention on "different situations" while focusing even on the small details like her movements and gestures.

"I tried to approach it by focusing on the different situations in which the mountain spirit and the demon were placed," she said, adding, "While discussing with the director, I noticed a difference in various details such as movements, actions, hands, and humming."

In addition, she also shared that she had fun filming an occult series.
