Based on a news cited by a media outlet on June 15, veteran actress Kim Hye Soo will make a comeback following her record-breaking series "Under The Queen's Umbrella" in 2022.

According to the report, the award-winning actress is confirmed to headline the upcoming comedy-drama "Trigger."

Adding excitement to her return is that the brilliant mind behind the successful action-comedy series "Uncanny Counter," Director Yoo Sun Dong, will helm the project.

"Trigger" is an office comedy-drama based on the background of the busy and fast-paced environment of broadcast media. Kim Hye Soo is reportedly to play a team leader in the Investigative Journalism department.

As a team head struggling to revive the program in danger of abolition, she is ready to dig into the truth of the case along with a new producer and passionate members of the production team.

After portraying bold characters in her past dramas as a queen, judge, and lawyer, Kim Hye Soo is expected to create another iconic role through her upcoming work "Trigger."

Kim Hye Soo Embroiled in Smuggling Scheme With Yum Jung Ah in New Movie 'Smugglers'

On the other hand, before her much-awaited drama comeback, Kim Hye Soo will meet the audience first on the big screen. Her summer film "Smuggling" is confirmed to be released in cinemas this July.

The action-crime movie, "Smugglers," is set in the 1970s in the backdrop of a small and peaceful village by the sea. She will be joined by Yum Jung Ah, Park Jung Min, Jo In Sung, Kim Jong Soo, and Go Min Si in this film.

Furthermore, the movie is helmed by "Escape from Mogadishu" director Ryoo Seung Wan.

"Trigger's" production team aims to film the drama in the second half of 2023. Kim Hye Soo plans to continue her busy journey with back-to-back projects.
