Kim Sejeong Gets Candid About 'The Uncanny Counter 2' Comeback

To promote her new drama "The Uncanny Counter 2," Kim Sejeong and co-star Kang Ki Young made a guest appearance on Jo Hyun Ah's web program called "Thursday Night."

The two shared their experiences and most memorable moments while filming the drama which premiered in the last week of July.

Kim Sejeong expressed her excitement about the drama after its first season received great reception from the public. She wished that viewers would give Season 1 the same amount of support.

The singer-actress also boasted her new-found friendship with Kang Ki Young who joins Season 2 as the most powerful villain. Recently, the actor made headlines for his impeccable portrayal of a lawyer in the smash hit drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

Kim Sejeong shared that they became close quickly due to their similar humor, passion for acting and love for music.

"In the drama, I have to fight him [Kang Ki Young] both mentally and physically as a Counter," Kim Sejeong said. "It would have been awkward if we weren't close."

She reasoned that she feels more comfortable exchanging lines with the actor as they now have a great bond together. Kim Sejeong and Kang Ki Young also sang a song together with Jo Hyun Ah.

Kim Sejeong Shares Difficulties During Filming

The idol-actress warned fans about her "fluctuating" weight and appearance in the drama.

Kim Sejeong revealed that her face and body might look different in other scenes due to her weight as well as the drama's wardrobe and costume.

According to her, the Counter's tracksuit is worse than regular clothes as it can be tighter or looser in different situations. Sometimes Kim Sejeong's face can't be seen properly.

"During filming, I gained some weight. I eat a lot because shooting the drama was very tiring," Kim Sejeong confessed. "That's why I look so different in some scenes."

She even said that her weight is like a rubber band that is flexible. However, she still faces difficulties when she doesn't watch what she eats.

Despite her hard time losing weight, Kim Sejeong's sterling performance makes up for it. In fact, she flaunted her gravity-defying stunts in the first two episodes of the series.
