Kang Hye Won Returns With New Period Drama
On August 22, it was reported that Kang Hye Won is set to make her much anticipated return to the limelight as she joins Im Siwan and Lee Sun Bin in a new series.
In "Boys' Generation," the idol-actress was cast as Kang Sun Hwa, a beautiful young student who shakes the hearts of all the young boys in her school.
The drama which is set in the '80s depicts the lives of students at an agricultural high school in the province. It follows the story of a high school loner who becomes the most powerful kid overnight.
Im Siwan plays the role of Jang Byung Tae, a weak boy whose goal is not to get beat up by his schoolmates. Meanwhile, Lee Sun Bin portrays Park Ji Young who's also known as "Buyeo's black spider."
Kang Hye Won who's building her filmography is set to make a mark in the acting scene as the neighborhood's queen bee.
The flawless casting heightened the fans' excitement, especially those who have waited for a long time for Kang Hye Won's acting comeback.
