1. Shin Se Kyung began her career at a young age.

At only eight years old, Shin Se Kyung has already stepped into the limelight. The actress began her career as a model in Seo Taiji's "Take Five" music video in 1998.

She also starred in the song's remake, sung by Younha, in 2017 to celebrate Seo Taiji's 25th debut anniversary.

2. Shin Se Kyung received her breakthrough through a sitcom.

Following her first media exposure, Shin Se Kyung appeared in various projects as an actress and a model.

It wasn't until 2009, a whole 11 years after her debut, that she finally received her much deserved recognition.

Despite starring in "The Bride of the Water God," Shin Se Kyung has a fear of water.

She has intense aquaphobia that she would even hyperventilate even when showering. Thankfully, she was able to overcome her fear with the help of the production team.
