Kim Ok Vin Shares Affection For 'Arthdal Chronicles' Role

In an interview, Kim Ok Vin dished out her honest feelings for her role and drama "Arthdal Chronicles."

She played the role of Tae Alha in Seasons 1 and 2 of the series who possesses a great desire for power that's greater than anyone else.

Kim Ok Vin described her character as a "driven, powerful woman." She said, "I loved her because she's not perfect despite being a queen."

The season ended with an average rating of 4.6%. While it's relatively high, "Arthdal Chronicles 2" struggled in impressing the viewers due to the bumps it faced during the broadcast.

"It was really difficult to attract new viewers due to the drama's experimental elements," Kim Ok Vin confessed. "I had confidence about the work but it was a shame that it wasn't talked about a lot."

Despite that, "Arthdal Chronicles" has a soft spot in Kim Ok Vin's heart. Bidding goodbye to the drama is like breaking up with a beloved friend, according to the actress.

Will There Be 'Arthdal Chronicles' Season 3?

For more than five years, Kim Ok Vin gave life to Tae Alha as a powerful matriarch from Season 1 to 2.

The actress stressed that "Arthdal Chronicles" is a work that will forever hold a soft spot in her heart, especially as it's also her most note-worthy work to date.

In an interview, she hinted at her willingness to reunite with Jang Dong Gun, Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung for a new season.

She said, "I want to appear with a cameo if given the chance. If there would be another season, I'm willing to star in it. I'll do it in a heartbeat."

The drama has successfully tied all loose ends at the end of Season 2, making it blurry for a new season to be produced. Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung's romance also finally happened.

However, there's always a possibility for a spin-off, which isn't uncommon in Hallyu. At the moment, the showrunners haven't announced anything about the production yet so stay tuned for more updates.
