Moreover, authorities also confirmed that the actor "provided a significant amount of money to the drug supplier while engaged in marijuana use. We estimate the amount to be around 300 million won," or around $221,900, as cited by a media outlet.

Following the statement released by the police, Lee Sun Kyun's agency, HODU&U Entertainment, responded to the issue and assured the public that they are "committed to cooperating fully with any investigations conducted by relevant authorities."

As the probe continues, Lee Sun Kyun made his first public appearance after being summoned for alleged drug charges. In a report by a news outlet, the actor apologized for causing "great disappointment" to people due to the unpleasant incident.

"I would like to bow my head in apology to everyone who has trusted in me and supported me all this time," he said as he concluded his brief statement.
