While in the middle of investigation due to his drug scandal, Lee Sun Kyun's past works "Parasite" and "My Mister," which became hits are starting to receive negative impact from the public. 

'Parasite' Excluded From Screening Lineup Due to Lee Sun Kyun's Drug Scandal

It was just a week after Lee Sun Kyun became the headline of the news after he was accused of using illegal drugs. Due to the unexpected issue, the veteran actor's career started to decline.

Apart from the possibility of being fined due to breach of contract from his ongoing partnerships with other brands, Lee Sun Kyun's past projects, which are great works and known globally are being dragged which damages its reputation. 

Lotte Cinema is set to organize the October-November ANNIVERSARY FESTA to mark the 10th release anniversary of different films. According to them, "Parasite" and "Memories of Murder" were scheduled for special screenings in the exhibition dedicated to award-winning director Bong Joon Ho.

However, "Parasite" has recently been removed from the lineup. It is believed to be the negative effect of the ongoing drug issue of one of its stars Lee Sun Kyun.

'My Mister' Receives Cold Response From Viewers Amid Lee Sun Kyun's Drug Issue

Aside from the phenomenal film, one of Lee Sun Kyun's remarkable dramas "My Mister," where he worked with IU, Park Ho San, Ko Du Shim, Lee Ji Ah, and Song Sae Byeok started to receive cold response from the masses.

Based on a news cited by a media outlet, the viewers of tvN's "My Mister" felt disappointed. Some said that they probably won't re-watch the series. 

The drama is available in Korea for re-watching on various online streaming platforms, including Netflix, TVING, and more. Although the series premiered five years ago, the ongoing controversy revolving around Lee Sun Kyun's drug use has led viewers to begin watching, temporarily bringing it back into the 'Trending Now' chart on Netflix Korea. 

However, the audience's reactions to the series turned cold. The actor's scandal prevents the viewers from immersing themselves in the story. The negative opinions of the public continued to circulate online.

It was announced earlier that "My Mister" will have a Chinese remake. However, it has been said that the K-drama is receiving posts and comments related to Lee Sun Kyun's drug allegations on the famous content review site Douban. 

Some of the viewers commented:

"Did Lee Sun Kyun really do drugs?"

"I might not watch it because of Lee Sun Kyun."

"Korean media reported that the lead actor is facing a drug scandal."

Furthermore, the authorities continue to investigate Lee Sun Kyun's drug allegations.
