Poll Results: "Missing You" Bumps "The Heirs" From First Place
There has been an unexpected upset in the kdramstars poll. The melodrama "Missing You," starring Park Yoochun, Yoon Eun Hye and Yoo Seung Ho, has pushed "The Heirs" out of first place for the temporary title of best drama.
"Missing You" earned 43.77 percent of the vote, while "The Heirs" only earned 34.08 percent. "Queen of Ambition" weighed in at 8.17 percent, earning third place.
For the first week of the kdramastars poll, it looked as if "The Heirs' would have no competition. With ratings around and over 50 percent, no single other drama even came close. Then today, with only a few days left in the poll, "Missing You" pushed ahead to first place.
"Missing You" is a strong contender. It has a heartbreaking storyline, top stars and definitely deserves first place for the most tearstained kisses. It also delivered a twisted and yet appealing villain in the character of Harry Borrison, played by Yoo Seung Ho. All of his evil actions are taken to protect Zoe Lou, played by Yoon Eun Hye.
Park Yoochun, who played the male lead in "Missing You" also stayed in the lead for the best actor category with 51.42 percent of the vote as opposed to Lee Min Ho's 39.89 percent. For the first week of the poll Lee Min Ho seemed destined to win.
As Han Jung Woo, the homicide detective, who can't forget his first love, Park Yoochun delivered a great performance in "Missing You."
With the boost in Park Yoochun votes, Kim Woo Bin remains in third place but with only 3.41 percent of the votes. So Ji Sub is down to 1.49 percent for "The Master's Sun," while Lee Jong Suk only made it to 1.32 percent for "I Hear Your Voice."
Little changed in the Best Actress category. Park Shin Hye stayed in first place with 55.63 percent of the vote for her roles in "The Heirs" and "Flower Boys next Door." Moon Geun Young stayed in second place with 16.02 percent for her roles in "Cheomdamdong Alice" and "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji." Yoon Eun Hye, who appeared in the winning drama "Missing You" and the ratings failure, "Future's Choice," stayed in third place with 11.67 percent of the vote. Suzy and Lee Bo Young followed in fourth and fifth place.
There are still a few days left to vote in our poll. Obviously a day's worth of votes can make a big difference in the results.
