Lee Se Young Shares Most Memorable Experience In Hallyu

At 30, Lee Se Young has become a household name in the industry, thanks to her dedication to her craft and passion for acting.

This fall, she's set to return to the acting scene with the new time-slip romance series "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" with Bae In Hyuk.

Ahead of the premiere, the cast of the series made an appearance in MBC FM4U's "2 O'Clock Date With Jae Jae" to promote their upcoming series.

In the program, Lee Se Young recalled her time where she ventured into singing as an actress. She collaborated with AKMU Chan Hyuk in his song "Way To The Airport."

Because she pours her heart to everything she does, she wanted to do well to show her appreciation for the collaboration opportunity. Unfortunately, she didn't receive any singing lessons beforehand.

"I was thankful that he demonstrated what I should do nicely. When I heard my singing voice after filming, I was so embarrassed," Lee Se Young shared, sending everyone to laughter.

Although singing didn't become a trusted skill of hers, Lee Se Young's entertainment and variety skills have become her strong suit which fans can anticipate in her upcoming drama.

In the show, she's set to give life to a Joseon princess who travels through time, and meets the man of her dreams in modern day Korea.

Lee Se Young Shares Affection For New Drama

During the press conference of "The Story of Park's Marriage Story," Lee Se Young shared her affection for her new acting role.

The MBC work marks her return to prime time this 2023, and her first-ever historical romance series since the successful conclusion of "The Red Sleeves."

With this, excitement for the new series is through the roof. However, Lee Se Young revealed that she didn't want to wear hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) again.

She reasoned, "I disliked wearing hanbok in the summer. It was tough during filming. I thought I was going to pass out every scene."

However, Lee Se Young showed her dedication by wearing the costume either way, and successfully wrapped up filming. She added, "I had no choice because I had to do it for work."

With that said, fans will be able to see Lee Se Young's 100% synchronization with her character. Her improved acting and exciting ad-libs are also elements to watch for the series.
