Park Yeon Woo Travels Through Time
"The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" glimpses into a rebellious princess' life. Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young) sneaks out late at night to make clothes, disappointing the queen.
She wishes that she could live a different life when she sees a shooting star, refusing to be a bride by some noble prince.
Elsewhere, her groom-to-be Kang Tae Ha (Bae In Hyuk) also sees the same meteor. Like her, he doesn't want to get married either if it wasn't for his grandfather.
It turns out that he is suffering from a serious ailment, softening Park Yeon Woo's heart. She promises to beat the gods should he suffer.
Unfortunately, Kang Tae Ha passed away. Time freezes and Park Yeon Woo gets tangled in a strange whirlpool that takes her to a different realm.
Park Yeon Woo Reunites With Kang Tae Ha
Park Yeon Woo finally arrives in Seoul in the big year of 2023. She meets Kang Tae Ha, a conglomerate who happens to look exactly like her husband.

He's betrothed to another so he's taken aback when she calls him "husband." To avoid his own upcoming marriage, Kang Tae Ha decides to make Park Yeon Woo his pretend-wife.
A fake wedding then takes place and to seal the deal, they share their first kiss with Kang Tae Ha's thumb in between their lips.
Park Yeon Woo Adjusts To Modern Korea
Kang Tae Ha takes his time to teach Park Yeon Woo about the state of the art technology. She doesn't ever know how to use doors, which causes her to end up in an altercation with Kang Tae Min (Yoo Seon Ho), Kang Tae Ha's brother.
Meanwhile, Kang Tae Ha's mother plans to do a background check on Park Yeon Woo, putting her in a tricky situation. Things get worse when his father's surgery gets rescheduled.
This means that they have to pretend to be married for a little longer. Kang Tae Ha promises to compensate Park Yeon Woo's efforts. She is given a place in his home and a new identity, too.
Will History Repeat Itself?
Everything seems to be connected to one another when Park Yeon Woo recognizes Kang Tae Ha's mother from the Joseon period. Kang Tae Ha's grandfather also reveals that he's once drawn Park Yeon Woo, proving that fate is set to repeat itself.
