Go Min Si Postpones Scheduled Activities Due to Health Issue

Go Min Si temporarily halted her scheduled activities starting December 15 due to health concerns.

The actress has been booked and busy with press conferences, launches, and award ceremonies after headlining back-to-back dramas.

Go Min Si Diagnosed With Type A Influenza

However, on December 15, the actress was unable to attend a scheduled event after being infected with a virus.

In a report obtained by a local media outlet, the PR agency announced that Go Min Si tested positive for Type A Influenza. 

As a result, she needed to cancel her appearance at the photowall event.

 "We apologize for causing confusion with this sudden schedule change. We ask for your understanding," the agency added.

According to Healthline.com, type A influenza is an infection that can "cause widespread outbreaks and disease."

Although it may look like a common cold, the symptoms of type A influenza include coughing, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, headache, fatigue, chills, and body aches.

As for the recovery period, influenza A symptoms "may resolve on their own," but it is best to isolate or refrain from going out for a week for monitoring.

Besides Go Min Si, a few South Korean celebrities also announced postponements of activities due to the virus.

(G)I-DLE Shuhua canceled her upcoming events, including KBS 2TV's "2023 Music Bank Global Festival's" pre-recording as well as rapper-producer Gray, who was rushed to the hospital due to influenza.

What's Next for Go Min Si?

The 28-year-old actress stars in multiple projects in 2023. From films to K-dramas, Go Min Si has been showcasing her acting prowess through the challenging roles she portrays.

After her supporting role in "Jirisan," she returns to the small screen for the much-awaited Netflix series "Sweet Home" season 2, reprising her role as Lee Eun Yoo.

Interestingly, she will once again showcase her superb acting skills as she makes a comeback in season 3, which will air in 2024.

Meanwhile, she also made a big screen comeback through the action comedy film "Smugglers," alongside a star-studded cast like Jo In Sung, Kim Hye Soo, Yeom Jung Ah, and more.

Because of her role as Madam Go Ok Bun, Go Min Si was hailed as the Best New Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards 2023 and the Best Supporting Actress at the Buil Film Awards 2023.

Apart from "Sweet Home" season 3, the 28-year-old actress is set to headline the upcoming Netflix series "Alone in the Woods."

The psychological thriller series is helmed by Mo Wan Il of "Dream High" and "The World of the Married."

Joining Go Min Si are veteran stars Lee Jung Eun, Kim Yoon Seok, and more.
