Kim Tae Ri Reveals Process She Went Through Before Her Major Hair Transformation

Kim Tae Ri dishes on the reason behind her major hair transformation and the process she went through before the cut.

In an interview with a local media outlet, the 33-year-old actress shared her status, her plans, and her return to the big screen with a new film.

Reprising her role as Yi Ah, the mysterious lady with a gun in "Alienoid 2," Kim Tae Ri joins Kim Woo Bin as the stoic alien guard and bounty-hunting dosa magician, Muruk, played by Ryu Jun Yeol.

Kim Tae Ri Went Through These Process Before Cutting Her Hair

Other than her role and the movie's highly anticipated release, viewers are drawn to Kim Tae Ri's hair transformation.

After having thick, long locks, the actress ended 2023 with short hair.'

When asked about her new dio, Kim Tae Ri, she said that it was for her K-drama "Jeong Nyeon," which will air sometime in 2024.

However, prior to this, the actress expressed that she really wanted to try chopping her hair off.

"I really wanted to cut it, but I needed to coordinate with my agency," she said, as mentioned by a media outlet.

Because her advertisement deals with different brands, she has to consider them, the image that she needs to portray, and the agreement with the companies; hence, she needs to get approval from her label.

"We went through a period of discussion, but the agency was as slow as possible during that period. I dragged it along," she  joked.

However, thankfully, she was satisfied with her hair transformation and realized that she should have done it way sooner.

"In the end, I'm satisfied that it reached the length I wanted. However, I think I should have cut it sooner. Even if filming hasn't started yet, if you change it to fit the character, there's a vibe that comes from a sense of life. The hair definitely looks better."

Kim Tae Ri also mentioned that she's happy as it gets shorter since her "actions have become more relaxed" too.

As mentioned, the 33-year-old actress serves as the face of various brands. From the fashion house Prada to several fashion brands.

From 'Alienoid 2' to 'Jeong Nyeon'

As the new year rings in 2024, Kim Tae Ri is booked and busy with new projects.

With the much-awaited return of "Alienoid" part 2, she will also make a comeback to the small screen with an upcoming music drama.

In the same interview, the actress said that filming the sci-fi movie was the "happiest filming set" she has ever experienced.

"In conclusion, I think it was because I realized that love is exchanged. Aren't there many other forms of love other than love between lovers? It was the first time I felt sincerely caring for and affectionately with the director and other comrades."

As for her new K-drama, Kim Tae Ri will star alongside Shin Ye Eun and Jung Eun Chae as the lead stars.
