Lee Yi Kyung is off to a great start this 2024 as the actor is set to star in the new drama "Get Married You."

Following his successful comeback drama "Marry My Husband," the 35-year-old actor continues to showcase his flexibility in acting as he takes on another challenging role.

In an exclusive report cited by iMBC, Lee Yi Kyung has been selected to portray the lead role in the upcoming romance series.

Penned by "Two Cops" screenwriter Byun Sang Soon, he is in talks to play the role of Bong Cheol Hee, an island bachelor who avoids marriage.

"Get Married You" focuses on a matchmaking story about a woman named Jeong Ha Na, an unmarried civil servant who is on the lookout for a potential husband.

However, the Marriage Morale Promotion Team was created to find a perfect match for the very single Bong Cheol Hee.

Slated to premiere on Channel A, the upcoming romance series is Lee Yi Kyung's next project after the revenge drama "Marry My Husband" with Park Min Young.

Lee Yi Kyung's Villain Role in 'Marry My Husband' Draws Attention

K-drama enthusiasts would surely recognize Lee Yi Kyung from his role in "Welcome to Waikiki" as Lee Joon Ki, who wants to follow in his dad's footsteps as an actor.

In addition to this, his character portrayal also sparked iconic memes after viewers posted several versions of "Gwenchana! Gwenchana!" line.

However, the public saw Lee Yi Kyung's other side after joining the cast of tvN's "Marry My Husband." From taking on comedy roles, fans witnessed how versatile he is as he plays as the cheating husband Park Min Hwan.

In "Marry My Husband," Lee Yi Kyung is Park Min Young's husband, who cheated on her with her best friend Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon).

Not only did he perfectly portray the role of the manipulative and opportunist husband, but the actor also managed to earn the viewers' praise for his amazing character portrayal.

Lee Yi Kyung successfully made the viewers hate his character more, especially when he showed his true colors to his wife.

As the drama continues to showcase the second life of Kang Ji Won, viewers can't wait to watch the chemistry between Lee Yi Kyung, Park Min Young, Song Ha Yoon, and Na In Woo's roles.

Viewers get to see the latest episode of "Marry My Husband" via tvN every Monday and Tuesday.
