‘Crash Landing on You’ Actress Cha Chung Hwa Reveals Exciting News Months After Wedding

Cha Chung Hwa's agency confirmed surprising news about the actress months after her wedding.

Starting the year with a happy heart, the 43-year-old actress is expecting her first child.

As mentioned by Star News, her agency, IOK Company, announced Cha Chung Hwa's pregnancy.

Meanwhile, regarding the expected delivery date, the talent label is mindful about sharing personal details about the actress' pregnancy.

"It is difficult to disclose details about the actress' personal life."

It can be recalled that Cha Chung Hwa married her non-showbiz boyfriend, who is two years her junior, in October 2023.

Korean news outlets shared the official announcement from her agency, along with photos of the newlyweds, as the actress welcomed her new milestone with her husband.

"Please give lots of blessings to Cha Chung Hwa, who is preparing for a new start. Cha Chung Hwa, who always acts with sincerity, plans to repay [viewers] with great acting as an actress in the future, so please give her lots of support and interest."

During Cha Chung Hwa's wedding, she wore two different wedding dresses.

As for her guests, the wedding ceremony, which was held in Seoul, was attended by their closest friends, including former co-stars such as Shin Min Ah,Shin Hye Sun, Kim Nam Gil, Kim Jung Hyun, Lee Bong Ryun, Gong Min Jung, Lee Hyun Wook, and Kim Min Kyo.

Cha Chung Hwa's Drama List

Starting her career in theater, Cha Chung Hwa joined the cast of the 2005 stage play "Backstreet Story."

After a series of shows, she tried her luck on screen and managed to score various K-dramas.

Among her first is playing a Goldline employee in "Shopping King Louie," followed by supporting roles in "Black," "The Ghost Detective," "The Fiery Priest," and more.

Interestingly, most K-drama viewers knew her as the local North Korean hairdresser in "Crash Landing on You" and Court Lady Choi in "Mr. Queen."

Adding to the list of Cha Chung Hwa's dramas is the healing series "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," which stars Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho.

Since the actress announced her pregnancy at 43, it is safe to say that she will have a brief hiatus while doing on-screen projects.

However, Cha Chung Hwa appeared in back-to-back K-dramas in 2023.

Among the recent is taking on a cameo role in "My Demon" and supporting roles in "Song of the Bandits," the historical K-drama "Kokdu: Season of Deity," and "See You in My 19th Life" with Shin Hye Sun and Ahn Bo Hyun.
