Youn Yuh Jung To Return With 'Dog Days' This 2024

On January 29, Academy winner Youn Yuh Jung sat down for a brief interview and talked about her career and upcoming film "Dog Days."

It marks her 25th production throughout her career in both domestic and foreign acting scenes, surprising her fans with her never-changing sincerity towards her work.

"Dog Days" is an omnibus project that follows the lives of people with dogs, and how the fluffy animals became an important part of their day-to-day journey.

Apart from the seasoned actress, "Dog Days" also stars Yoo Hae Jin, Kim Seo Hyung, Tang Jun Sang and Daniel Henney. In the film, Youn Yuh Jung portrays a world-renowned architect.

Throughout her career, the actress has played many characters from being a homemaker to a reputable professional and more, boasting her seamless synchronization every time.

When asked about plans for her career, she surprised the public when she shared that she has no concrete plans as of the moment.

She told Hanguk Ilbo that acting has become an integral part of her life and that having no goals doesn't mean that she lacks passion for acting.

Youn Yuh Jung reasoned, "Acting has become a routine for a long time and every time, I give my best in my work. I can't stand insincere people."

Regarding her dream role, Youn Yuh Jung once again shared a surprising answer involving Song Hye Kyo.

Revealing a character she wants to play, Youn Yuh Jung shared that she has no specific role in mind. However, she wants to do something like Song Hye Kyo did in "The Glory."

"Whenever I get a role, I tend to research on how to do it with my own style," the actress stated. "Although it's a little weird to say, I really want to play a role like Song Hye Kyo's. I want to play a character I like."
