Song Hye Kyo, Jeon Yeo Bin, Lee Jin Wook Confirmed for Movie 'Dark Nuns'

Song Hye Kyo, Jeon Yeo Bin, and Lee Jin Wook are confirmed to headline the upcoming movie "Dark Nuns."

The news was announced by production company Next Entertainment World and unveiled to other cast members joining the film.

Meet the 'Dark Nuns' Cast

Based on the 2015 blockbuster movie "The Priests," which starred Kang Dong Won and Kim Yoon Seok, the upcoming spin-off depicts the story of two nuns who perform exorcisms.

Song Hye Kyo takes on a challenging role as she plays the character of Sister Junia.

Showing her determined side, she'll do whatever it takes to save a young boy's life.

Interestingly, this is the Hallyu star's first movie since 2015 after starring in the star-studded romance drama "The Queens."

Joining Song Hye Kyo is the equally-talented Jeon Yeo Bin. The 34-year-old actress plays as Sister Michaela, a nun whose curiosity towards Sister Junia leads her to something unimaginable.

Adding to the list of "Dark Nuns" cast members is Lee Jin Wook. Viewers will get to see the actor portray the role of Father Paolo, a priest and psychiatrist who believes that science is the only way to save the young boy's life.

Besides the trio, Next Entertainment World also unveiled two actors joining the film.

Award-winning actor and "Escape from Mogadishu" star Heo Joon Ho portrays Father Andrea. He is the priest who helped the two sisters perform an exorcism to save the boy.

Lastly, rookie actor Moon Woo Jin takes on the character of the boy, Hee Joon, who is possessed by a powerful evil spirit.

Following the confirmation of the cast lineup, "Dark Nuns" will start its production on February 22 and will be helmed by Jang Jae Hyun of "The Priests" and the upcoming movie "Exhuma."

Meanwhile, fans can't wait to see "Dark Nuns" and watch the on-screen chemistry of Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Bin.

Jeon Yeo Bin Stars in 'Harbin' With Hyun Bin

The 34-year-old beauty is booked and busy with small-screen and movie projects.

As for 2024, she is set to headline a promising movie with another A-lister.

Jeon Yeo Bin is among the lead stars in the upcoming movie "Harbin" and will be working alongside Hyun Bin.

Set in the early 1900s in Harbin, China, the story focuses on Korean independence activists who fought against Japanese rule.

Directed by Woo Min Ho of "Inside Men," "The Man Standing Next," and "The Drug King," the forthcoming movie will be produced under Hive Media Corp, who also worked with "Inside Men," "Deliver Us From Evil," and "The Man Standing Next."

The team began production in 2022 and planned to release it in 2024.
