Kim Jung Eun Relationship 2024: Who is the ‘Strong Girl Namsoon’ Star’s Husband?

Best known for her iconic role in "Lovers on Paris," Kim Jung Eun recently made a successful K-drama comeback in 2023 after headlining "Strong Girl Namsoon."

Amid her K-drama hiatus, the actress lives a happily married life with her non-celebrity husband. 

In 2015, the actress confirmed her engagement with a Korean-American businessman after dating for three years. 

"I am truly blessed to be able to marry someone who always embraces my flaws," she said, following the engagement announcement. 

Who is Kim Jung Eun's Husband? 

In June of the same year, Kim Jung Eun admitted her relationship to her non-showbiz boyfriend, who works for a foreign finance company.

During the dating stage, the actress said that he had been a big supporter since they first met.

Lo and behold, the couple had their wedding in March 2016 in Seoul. 

At 41, Kim Jung Eun walked down the aisle and said, "I do," the love of her life. 

Among the guests included are her celebrity friends, including Lee Hye Young, Ko So Young, and Kim Hee Ae. 

Kim Jung Eun Shares the Story Behind Her Husband's Proposal

Following her big day, Kim Jung Eun talks about the unforgettable scene during the proposal. 

As mentioned in a report, the actress knew that she was going to marry her then-boyfriend early in their relationship. 

"He was so passionate that he asked to get married within a month of us meeting." 

However, instead of saying yes, she didn't accept the proposal, maybe because of her career. 

"But at the time, I wasn't ready, so we didn't get married. Then time passed, and when it came around to getting married, my husband hadn't proposed."

Kim Jung Eun then shared what led her to accept the proposal on his second try. 

After his father passed away, he asked the actress to visit him at his grave but was clueless that it would be another proposal. 

"There, he said, 'Father, we're getting married,' and proposed to me. Since it was a grave, I wasn't wearing a dress or anything, and I was just wearing exercise clothes with no makeup on."

The actress also mentioned that her then-boyfriend and now husband "wanted to propose in front of his dad," and so he did. 

"I cried immediately," she said, recalling the sweet surprise from her husband.

What's Next for Kim Jung Eun? 

"Strong Girl Namsoon" is Kim Jung Eun's comeback after three years since the psychological thriller K-drama "My Dangerous Wife."

However, as of this writing, there are no rumored offers for the actress, but the viewers of the spin-off wanted JTBC to release a sequel focusing on his character. 

Kim Jung Eun perfectly portrayed the self-made chaebol Hwang Geum Joo, who is dedicated to putting an end to the drug activities in their neighborhood. 

She is also the mother of Kang Nam Soon, played by Lee Yoo Mi, who also harbors the same powers as hers.
