Baseball player Lim Chan-gyu has come forward to dismiss rumors stating he is to marry professional golfer Son Sae-eun, younger sister of Apink's Son Na-eun, this December.

The rumors, as reported by XportsNews, went around on October 13 that Lim and Son would have a private wedding on December 12 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
The report quickly made rounds on the Internet, catching the attention of both sports and entertainment enthusiasts.
To this, Lim personally responded to the rumor through his social media handle, affirming categorically that there is no wedding planned as of now.
He posted, "The news that I'm getting married this year is not true, and I will let you know once it's decided."

Lim's denial just a few hours ago came after several news outlets had published news stories about the supposed ceremony, leaving numerous fans bewildered. The pitcher's quick denial served to render the rumor as baseless.
Sports Chosun previously reported that Son Sae-eun, 28, and Lim Chan-gyu, 33, were set to marry after going public as a couple since 2022.
The publication reported that the two "have displayed affection for one another through social media and been warmly supported by fans." Lim's recent statement has, however, confirmed that all such plans are far from reality.
The two initially made their relationship public in 2022 after Lim guest-starred on E Channel's "Playing Bros 2." While on the show, he shared how he met his girlfriend, stating, "I met her through a blind date and things went well with the person I was introduced to."
He further jokingly added Son Sae-eun's celebrity elder sister, stating, "She's also a famous person," speaking about Apink's Son Na-eun.
Lim, born in 1992, is currently playing as a pitcher for the LG Twins in the KBO League. In his years of play since joining the team in 2011, he has had good performance statistics, including 11 wins, 7 losses, and a 3.03 ERA in 27 games this year, based on reports from XportsNews.
In the meantime, Son Sae-eun, who made her debut in 2017 on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), is also developing a professional golfer career. Although public attention to their relationship has never ceased, both are still dedicated to their respective sporting careers.
