Hollywood blockbuster 'Amazing Spider-Man' opened theaters two days ago and within that time 500,000 viewers have already watched the movie. Within Korea, more than 1000 movie screenings played the movie, monopolizing all the profit away from the Korean movies.

On the second day of 'Amazing Spiderman' the theaters sold 284,394 tickets, topping the box office. Since the opening night of the movie the number of tickets sold has totaled 561,623, which is more likely to increase in the future.

As a result, the Korean movies are suffering dramatically. The first night of 'Amazing Spiderman' had 997 screenings and the second day increased to 1009 screenings. In 2nd place in the box office is 'The Emperor's Concubine', which is 700 short from 1st place. 'Miss Go' and 'King Of Flattery' are both unable to receive much profit because of 'Amazing Spiderman'. The movie is predicted to increase even more.

Comapred 'Spiderman', 'The Emperor's Concubine' has sold only 2607 32,607 tickets. 3rd place in the box office is 'All Of My Wife' with 28,707 tickets sold, which is one tenth of the audience that watched 'Spiderman'.

'Amazing Spiderman' is the fourth installment of the successful original 'Spiderman' series (2002, 2004, 2007). But instead of going after the previous story of the original three, the fourth one starts over with a brand new hero and setting. The movie is directed by Mark Webb, who directed '500 Days Of Summer', and the movie starrs Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
