As many of you have heard, Oh Yeon Seo have been caught in controversy after pictures and a video of the actress and her co-star Lee Jang Woo from the MBC drama “Oh Ja Ryong Is Coming”, were revealed, where they were seeing holding hands in a more-than-friends way.

According to Sportseoul they went on a date, hold hands, he took her home in his car and she was seeing giving him a kiss on his hands to show gratitude.

This must have been just another dating rumor that surfaces all the time in Kpop celebrity universe. But what cause a big controversy was the fact that Oh Yeon Seo was “married” to MBLAQ's member Lee Joon.

As you all might know, MBC has a show called “We Got Married” where celebrities act as if they were in a real relationship. They go on dates, go on “honeymoons” abroad, and may even kiss. All while cameras follow them. The reason this program is famous is because fans of those celebrities like to believe that the couple in question actually develop real feelings, and this is the appeal the show has.

One may never know if they develop feelings for each other for real but most of them never keep in touch -at least publicly- after their run in the program is over. Only one couple out of the many that have appeared in the program, actually dated in real life.

So, what consequences does this decision bring to “We Got Married” and MBC?

The main problem that now “We Got Married” has, is the fact that not many people believe in Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo's chemistry anymore. That same believe that keeps the program alive, is now gone.

When people watch their episodes, they think that the couple is putting up an act, since both Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo are really good actors. So It is somewhat uncomfortable and cringe-inducing to watch.
Many fans have expressed their disappointment in their decision, in the “We Got Married” official board, stating that they will stop watching, since they are obviously acting and now they can see how things really are.

Last week's ratings (Jan. 5th) were 8.2%, which puts the show at the last position in the shows aired at the same time slot. Yet it's higher that previous ratings. On the other hand “Oh Ja Ryong Is Coming” ratings were the highest they have recorded since it started.

So, did MBC made a smart move? Only time will say, if keeping the 'JoonSeo' couple was the right decision or not.
