Lee Yeon Hee in Hot Water With Netizens for Her Attitude in Recent Video + SM Entertainment Reacts

Actress Lee Yeon Hee is being criticized for her apparent uninterested attitude when she was with fellow actors.

A few days ago, MBC released a video via their official MBC website, from the first script reading from their coming drama “The Writing of Nine Houses.” In the video, the actress is seeing with a down attitude while her fellow actors were introducing themselves.

Everyone on the meeting, clapped and bowed whenever an actor or actress introduced themselves, however Lee Yeon Hee didn’t do that. She only sat there looking at her script.

When netizens saw the video, the actress was showered with critics about her attitude, some said she was rude to her fellow actors. Netizens also argue that she didn't even paid attention when the producer introduced and talked.

After seeing that the issue was getting out of hand, and seeing that even her name was the number one searched topic online, producers from MBC came forward to defend the actress.

MBC officials said, “Due to Lee Yeon Hee's amount of lines, she was focusing in the script. She greeted all the other actors before the script reading, and with eye contact. There was no problem in the atmosphere just because she didn’t clap.”

However netizens weren't happy with the explanation MBC gave, and kept criticizing the actress; therefore SM entertainment came forward and stated, “Lee Yeon Hee greeting and talked to the actors in a good manner. The atmosphere was good. The way the video was edited, made it seem like she wasn’t showing support to the actors. Even though it not visible, she was clapping just like everyone else.”
