The Korean television writer Jang Jung-yoon and actor Kim Seung-hyun have both spoken about the pain caused by the derogatory comments that are being made about their family, which includes their young daughter, online.
In one of their latest YouTube videos, the couple discussed the issue of lies and provocative posts that are circulating as a result of their recent uploads. The video showed how the criticism went from guessing about their money to very personal attacks.
As per OSEN, the argument started when people said the couple was "exploiting poverty" through their content. Short videos and misleading headlines, some of which suggested financial trouble, made the claims stronger.
Kim addressed the whispers circulating about his professional life and financial troubles. He said, "I only meet people with good physiognomy."
Jang also voiced her concerns about the portrayal of her husband's work ethic. "I know how diligent and hardworking my husband is. It is just too painful to be treated like a slacker who just stays at home doing nothing."

The couple made it clear that Kim has stayed busy by appearing on variety shows, going to public events, and making content for the internet, even though he hasn't been in any TV dramas in the past few years.
Naver news articles said that Kim had already told his fans that he was financially stable. He said, "Don't worry about celebrities."
Jang also talked about the claims about their money problems. "We are living without any financial difficulties. Kim Seung-hyun earns money by doing events and such, but people talk as if he can't earn any money at all."
She also answered directly to claims about what they said. Jang said, "I saw comments saying 'Don't exploit poverty,' but we have never done that. We have no intention of exploiting poverty."
In addition to rumors about money, the couple said that hurtful comments had also been made about their family members, including their second daughter, who is still a toddler.
Jang talked about one comment that really hurt their child. She said that someone had written, "They say daughters resemble their fathers, so why doesn't your second daughter look like him?"
She couldn't believe the criticism. "Then does that mean she can't resemble her mother?" Jang asked.
The outlet reported that Jang's looks and age were also criticized, which made people more concerned about the couple's online harassment.
Their family also had some personal misunderstandings because of the situation. Jang said that her father got worried after seeing false information online.
She remembered what he had asked. "Is Seung-hyun having a hard time these days?" he asked.
Even though people kept criticizing him, Kim stressed that he was staying positive and determined to keep working.
He thought about how people saw him and what would happen in the future. Kim said, "There are still many people who hold preconceived notions due to my variety show appearances or existing image, but I believe that as I get older, I will become more serious and be able to take on diverse roles."
He also said how thankful he was for his family life. Kim said, "My family is very healthy, and I am happy that Ri-yoon (my second daughter) is growing up so well. I believe things will work out well in the future. I think that if the family is harmonious, personal matters will also go smoothly."
