Kim Nam Gil And Chun Woo Hee Will Co-Star In 'My Angel'

According to a report in the Korean media outlet OSEN, actors Kim Nam Gil and Chun Woo Hee are going to play the leading roles in the upcoming film "My Angel."

Kim's agency O& Entertainment said his participation was a definite.

"Kim Nam Gil has decided to appear in the film "My Angel."

In the melodrama Kim plays an insurance investigator who studies the case of a woman in a vegetative state. Chun plays the woman in a coma. His character's personal history was shaped by tragedy. He witnessed his wife commit suicide in front of him. Will the two characters have a relationship despite her inability to communicate?

They will be spending a lot of screentime together.

Lee Yoon Ki, who will direct the film, is known for his gift at matching up actors for maximum chemistry. Lee previously directed "My Dear Enemy," "Come Rain Come Shine" and also "A Man and A Woman," which premieres on February 25 and co-stars Jeon Do Yeon and Gong Yoo.

Kim Nam Gil's last drama was the melodrama "Shark" in 2013, but he's done a few films since then, including the critically acclaimed "The Shameless" with Jeon Do Yeon and "The Sound of a Flower" with Suzy Bae. He can soon be seen in "A Murderer's Guide to Memorization," which co-stars Sol Kyung Gu and AOA's Seol Hyun.

Chun Woo Hee debuted as an actress in 2004 but had a breakout role with the 2011 film "Sunny." In 2014 she won critical praise for her role in "Han Gong Ju," an indie production about a woman trying to move past a traumatic, life-altering incident. Chun Woo Hee also has a role in the upcoming film "Haeeohwa," playing a singer. Her last small screen role was in the 2011 drama "Vampire Idol."

"My Angel" begins shooting in March in South Korea.
