Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung Share The Happy News
Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung dated quietly for six years. They dated for so long that recently rumors began to spread that they would soon break up.
The recent rumors could not have been more wrong. The couple had no plans to break up and in March decided to marry. They only delayed their announcement because of Lee's starring role in the hit drama "I Hear Your Voice."
The two first met when they appeared together in the 2004 SBS drama "Save The Last Dance For Me." In that drama, Lee Bo Young lost Ji Sung to his leading lady, played by Eugene. But in real life, they became close. They did not admit they were dating until 2007 when a photographer caught them out together.
The day after "I Hear Your Voice" ended, Lee wrote a letter to fans on her official fan café page.
"This is my first time writing a letter to everyone so I feel really nervous," wrote Lee Bo Young. "I don't know how or what I should write. The ending of 'I Hear Your Voice' last night was a happy one, wasn't it?
I am writing this letter in between breaks for my last week of filming. I believe that the drama will deliver a heartwarming happy ending.
The reason I am writing suddenly is because it would not feel right for you to learn my news through articles when you have encouraged and supported me all the while. So I would like to take this opportunity to tell you first.
I will be getting married on Sept. 27. You are going to congratulate me right? For all of you who are deeply into the Hye Sung and Soo Ha relationship, this may seem like I'm pouring cold water on it so I am really sorry for this announcement. But I had to release the news now because I don't really have much time to get ready for my wedding. I wanted to announce my wedding plans in June so I would have more time. But I did not want my plans to affect my part in "I Hear Your Voice" and this is how it worked out.
I am lucky and grateful to have had so many good roles before my marriage. I have grown a lot in the past year. I guess Hye Sung and Soo Ha will remain somewhere happily living a life in everyone's hearts. I love you all."
Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung, who starred in "Protect The Boss," will marry at the Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul.
