A Happy Day For Lee Bo Young And Ji Sung
After years of dating you might expect actor Ji Sung to seem less nervous at his wedding to actress Lee Bo Young, but despite his obvious happiness, he did look like he took this act of commitment very seriously.
Lee Bo Young also looked radiantly happy and simply stylish in her wedding dress with its glittery silver-threaded sleeves and belt. Her accessories were sparkling drop earrings and white satin heels that were almost hidden under her long skirt.
At the press conference, which took place before the couple's private ceremony at Seoul's Walker Hill Hotel, the couple admitted that due to his "Secrets" filming schedule they would not be going on a honeymoon any time soon but they were making plans for a newlywed home.
"I'm busy filming my drama but we are discussing plans for our newlywed home with our parents," said Ji Sung. "Although we only just got married I am going to have to return to my filming schedule right away. Since we do not have a newlywed home, Lee Bo Young and I will be living apart for now."
The couple did have a chance to spend some quality time together when they flew to Madrid to take their official wedding photos for the magazine Grazia.
The wedding guest list was limited to 200 close friends and family members, which is small by celebrity standards. Among those attending the wedding were Lee Bo Young's "I Hear Your Voice" co-stars Lee Jong Suk and Yoon Sang Hyun.
By limiting the guest list, the couple fulfilled a promise to their families that they would keep things simple.
"Our parents asked us to make the wedding a family affair," said Ji Sung when he appeared on Kim Bum Soo's show "Music Plaza." "So we will have 200 guests, 100 per family. I don't want our wedding ceremony to be crazy. We want it to be a wedding where we are congratulated by our family and we sincerely thank them back."
Kim Bum Soo sang at the wedding, as did Lee Bo Young's good friend actress, singer and director Gu Hye Sun. Yoon Sang Hyun also agreed to sing.
Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young met when they starred together in the 2004 SBS drama "Save The Last Dance For Me." In that drama Eugene won Ji Sung's affections but he and Lee Bo Young began dating shortly after the drama was over. The couple decided to marry this spring but postponed making the announcement until after "I Hear Your Voice" ended.
