Making The Most Of The Titanic-Screened Samsung Galaxy View; The Tablet With a TV Screen

Samsung's most recent Smart device, Galaxy View, has a screen larger than laptops with a handle on its back that can make picking it up and carrying it easy just like one would with a shopping bag.

Its tilting kickstand lets the user position the smart device lying at an angle or standing upright, without requiring support. The big tablet has two stereo speakers.

Its 18.4-inch screen makes the Samsung Galaxy View look very much like a larger tablet or a PC, that clearly excels when one watches media, like videos. It has an incredible light weight, just 2.65 kilograms so Samsung calls it a "movable" display device that can easily be transported to wherever the user would like to watch his favorite content, said Samsung Newsroom.

With the development of mobile tech, there is no more line between comfortable home video watching and  the convenience of being mobile. Screen resolutions of new devices that equal or beat television screens make anyone enjoy content watching on those mobile devices but TVs remain to have advantages.

Hogon Kim, manager of Product Strategy Team, Mobile & IT Communications Business, stated. "We wanted to create a device with a large, captivating screen, and with all the versatility and connectivity of a mobile device. If TVs are fixed, and tablet PCs are portable, then the Galaxy View lies in between: a movable." Kim added.

The View's large display is perfect to enjoy clear, bright video at an arm's length. The device is designed to be used within that distance, said Mobile & IT Communications Business Senior Designer Hyun Kim. Users can simply watch content anywhere, home, bedside table, living room or kitchen.

The Samsung Galaxy View tablet features Media Home, so users will be able to "quickly find their preferred video services and watch their favorite content with a simple touch of the screen." Senior Designer Kim said.

Modern consumers are not passive when they watch TV. They initiate looking for the content that they want. Some may use the Samsung Galaxy View to rewatch their favorite series or share a favorite video they first found on their phone. The device can make them do multitasking. Let it playback video while they cook, clean the room or wash dishes. This is the best 4G LTE tablet when it comes to solving several tasks at once. 

According to StreetWise Journal, the Samsung Galaxy View tablet was introduced in the U.S. in early November and recently launched locally. It costs $599 or 690,000 Korean Won.
