Lee Byung-hun Received Positive Response at the Academy Award for the Film 'Parasite'
Actor Lee Byung-hun received positive response at the Academy Award for the film 'Parasite' directed by Bong Joon-ho. Lee Byung-hun is a member of 'Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' with voting rights.
News1 interviewed Lee Byung-hun who starred in the movie 'Ashfall' (Director Lee Hae-joon, Kim Byung-seo) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 19th.
In the interview, Lee Byung-hun said, "I look very positive. When the movie of 'Parasite' has campaigned, I was in the United States at the time."
He added, "I've heard people who work the movie industry mentioned that it's the best." He confessed, "I've been a member for a while, but I haven't voted yet. Because I haven't seen the movie yet."
Meanwhile, 'Ashfall' is a film about people who plan to stop the final eruption of Mount Paektu that would destroy both South and North Korea. Lee Byung-hun played the role of Li Jun-Pyong, who is a North Korean spy agent, who held crucial information to prevent the last eruption of Mount Paektu.
He has to join hands with a South Korean special forces team captained by Jo In-Chang (Ha Jung-woo) to prevent a possible volcanic eruption of the North Korean mountain.
