Suzy On Her Dating Rumor With Sung Joon, “It's An Unforgettable Birthday Gift”

Being caught in a dating rumor is not the best way to celebrate one's birthday, and miss A's Suzy says her piece about her scandal with actor Sung Joon.

In an interview with Sports DongA for her group's album comeback, the idol-actress talked about the highly publicized night out with her "Gu Family Book" co-star Sung Joon. She said, "I think of it as an unforgettable twentieth birthday gift. The clip shown in the news was taken during my birthday party with friends."

She continued, "After the conclusion of "Gu Family Book", I was able to take some time off to meet with friends. I was very surprised when the news came out, so I realized that rumors like that could even happen to me, but I wasn't bothered by it. I should be more careful in the future because I'm a public figure."

In a separate interview with Newsen, she said, "I am good friends with Sung Joon and we meet up every now and then. We just happened to be caught on camera that one time. Also, to explain why he put his arm around me would be weird."

"A sweet and romantic relationship is not for someone like me," she answered when asked about her ideal type. "I just want someone who understands what I'm trying to say."
