Fans Are Eager to See Lee Yi Kyung in KBS2's Upcoming Drama 'Secret Royal Inspector'
KBS2 upcoming drama "Secret Royal Inspector" has released new stills showcasing Lee Yi Kyung's kind and pure-hearted character!
'Secret Royal Inspector' is set during the latter part of the Joseon era. The story will center on Sung Yi Kyum (Kim Myung-Soo), who topped the state examination and currently works at the Hongmungwan (administrative and research department). He is a free-spirited person who doesn't have a goal or ambition for his life. One day, Sung Yi Kyum was caught doing an illegal act, and due to this, he is punished and assigned to work as a secret royal inspector. Sung Yi Gyeom's job as a secret royal inspector is to take down illegal acts and public officers' corruption. He does his duties with the help of Hong Da-In (Kwon Na-Ra) and Park Chun-Sam (Lee Yi-Kyung).
A secret royal inspector was a real government position in the Joseon dynasty, in which an undercover officer is appointed by the king and assigned to go to local provinces to monitor government officials and take down those who are doing illegal deeds.
Actor Lee Yi Kyung will star as Park Choon Sam, he is the sidekick of Sung Yi Kyum (Kim Myung Soo) since he was young. In the past 10 years, Park Choon Sam grew up as a loyal assistant to Sung Yi Kyum whenever needed. And since Park Choon Sam is an orphan, Sung Yi Kyum has been more than just his master. He considers him as his only family.
Park Choon Sam's character will have different chemistry with other characters in the drama. He is an innocent, pure-hearted young fellow who easily falls in love. He will especially showcase a close bond with Sung Yi Kyum since the two have spent many years together.
In the newly released snippets, Lee Yi Kyung is wearing his historical costume, looking like he's straight out of the Joseon dynasty. He wears a topknot on his head and looks very charming. Also, his bamboo hat looks so cute on him! Lee Yi Kyung's fans, as well as the drama's viewers, are looking forward to witnessing the actor's role as Park Choon Sam in the drama as he takes down evil with the secret royal inspectors.

South Korean actor Lee Yi Kyung was born on January 8, 1989. The 31-year-old actor became widely recognized for portraying the character of a rebellious student in the teen drama School 2013. He began his acting career in the entertainment industry in 2011 and got the public's attention in the teen drama School 2013. Following this, Lee Yi Kyung portrayed supporting roles in television dramas namely, My Love from the Star (2013) and Descendants of the Sun (2016).
Lee Yi Kyung gained popularity through his comedic role in Confession Couple and was cast in his first major role in Welcome to Waikiki (2018). His success was gradually rising when he played the lead actor in the critically well-received "Children of Nobody" in 2018.
